Privacy.

Plain language version (read this first).

We collect three things: anonymous analytics so we know what's working, your email if you sign up for The Coastal newsletter or save a contractor for later, and the application info you submit if you're a contractor applying for the founder lineup. We don't sell your data. We share with a few service providers (Cloudflare, our email service, our analytics tool, Stripe if you ever pay us) that need it to do their job. You can ask us to delete any of it at any time by emailing [email protected]. The rest of this page is the careful version.

Who we are.

CoastalSDPros is a publication of Roscoe Equity LLC, a California limited liability company headquartered in San Diego County. When we say "we," "us," or "our," we mean Roscoe Equity LLC operating the CoastalSDPros publication.

What we collect.

We collect three categories of information:

Why we collect it.

Browsing analytics so we can see what content is useful, what categories to launch next, and what's broken. We never connect this data to a personally identifying record.

Email signup data so we can deliver the newsletter you asked for or notify you about the saved contractor. We do not use signup data for advertising or share it with advertisers.

Contractor application data so we can verify your business, evaluate against the published five-part rubric, and contact you about your application status.

How long we keep it.

Analytics data is retained for 13 months in aggregate then anonymized further or deleted.

Email signup data is retained until you unsubscribe — every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes your address from our active list within 24 hours.

Contractor application data is retained for 2 years from submission whether or not we publish your profile, in case we want to revisit. You can request earlier deletion at any time.

Who we share it with.

We share data only with service providers who need it to operate parts of the publication. As of the last-updated date above, that means:

We never sell your data. We never share contractor application details with third parties (other than the service providers above) without your written consent. If we were ever required to disclose data by lawful order, we would do so under protest and notify the affected user when legally permitted.

Your rights.

You can:

California residents have additional rights under CCPA / CPRA, including the right to know what personal information has been collected, to whom it has been sold (we don't sell), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. To exercise any of these, email [email protected].

Changes to this policy.

If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top and announce the change in the next issue of The Coastal newsletter. The current version always lives at this URL.
