How we list contractors
Six written rules decide what you see. Hold us to them.
The rules we list by
- 01
Listing is free
Nobody pays to be listed, to go first or to move up; nothing here can be bought. We sell no leads and take no cut of any job. Call the business directly, or send a quote request and our team passes it to the business you picked.
- 02
Owner-confirmed first, then A–Z
Listings with a dated owner confirmation from the last 90 days come first; each group runs A–Z. Nothing else moves a listing: not money, outside ratings, a license record or a purchase from RSP.
- 03
No ratings of our own
We give no ratings, stars or “best of” labels. Google ratings, review counts, the newest Google reviews and the business’s replies show word for word, with the date and a link to Google; a reviewer’s surname is shortened. We never copy photos.
- 04
Every fact shows its source
Facts come from CSLB, city permit offices and each business’s Google Business Profile, each with its read date. None of them endorses Coastal SD Pros. Descriptions, services and tags are the business’s own words from Google, unchecked; you can request a change. We never fill a gap with a guess or show job prices until real local quotes back them.
- 05
One recommendation a month
The Front Door Report names one thing worth doing, or says nothing needs fixing; it never invents a problem to sell a fix. Claiming a listing is open now. The report isn’t being sent yet; when it is, it goes only to owners who agreed to email.
- 06
RSP is our sister company
Joshua Lyman runs Coastal SD Pros and Roscoe Site Pro, which sells contractors review requests and a phone-and-website system. It starts free (25 Google reviews in 14 days), then $97 a month for Reviews, $399 for the Booked Job System and $599 for BJS Pro. Buying from RSP never changes a listing’s place, labels or badges. On this site, RSP appears only on Pro Desk pages and in the Front Door Report, when it solves that month’s recommendation. Every RSP block, RSP client listing and the footer say so, and RSP links carry rel="sponsored" until legal review says otherwise.
Where the facts come from
CSLB snapshot Oct 14
Every listing by its CSLB match. Follow a matched license to CSLB before you hire.
“Not yet matched” means we haven’t tied a license to that listing; it is not a finding about the business. Ask for its number.
Software builds the directory pages from these sources, and AI tools helped write the site’s text. Business facts come only from the sources.
Every source and its rules
Quote requests and your details
- What we get The job, where and when, any photos, your name and phone, and your email if you give it. Your browser shrinks each photo first, removing its location data.
- Where it goes It’s emailed to the Coastal SD Pros team, who pass it to the business you picked. This website doesn’t store or post it.
- Who may contact you The business, and the Coastal SD Pros team, by call, text or email, about that request. Message and data rates may apply.
- No lead sales We sell no leads and take no cut. Coastal SD Pros and Roscoe Site Pro are run by the same company.
