Coastal Concrete

We hired Coastal Concrete for concrete work, leveling, and drainage, and I’m very happy with the outcome.

Nick, the owner, is extremely easy to work with and stands out for one important reason: he owns mistakes and fixes them properly. We initially had an issue with the exposed aggregate finish (TopCast not removed evenly). Nick acknowledged the problem without excuses and paid for sandblasting to correct it. That kind of accountability is rare and matters.

He’s attentive to detail, responsive, and clearly understands both the technical and aesthetic side of concrete work. The final result after correction looks excellent.

I also want to call out Jose from his crew — he works like he’s building his own house. He was meticulous, especially when installing the drainage system, and clearly took pride in doing things right. The entire crew was professional, clean, and respectful of the property.

If you want a concrete contractor who doesn’t cut corners and actually makes things right when issues come up, I would absolutely recommend Coastal Concrete.

Costal Concrete repaired a hole in our concrete that we made to fix some underground pipes. They did a great job overall. The owner is very responsive, has fair prices and has a great crew. I would definitely recommend, and use them again.

I've had three different concrete contractors pour concrete at our little house in Encinitas over the last couple of years... and while all the contractors were good, I can confidently say that Nick and the Coastal Concrete team were the best overall quality and value. By a wide margin.

The team poured a perfect step-out porch (23' x 3) and finished it flawlessly. I had last minute corrections/changes... and Juan couldn't have been more accommodating. "no problem" and "of course"... even though it meant re-working something... or adding/taking away concrete. These guys are fantastic.. can't recommend highly enough!!

Coastal Concrete did an amazing job. Job started in time. Project went on without any hiccups and finished as scheduled. Nick clearly communicated all the steps of the project. Our neighbors had positive comments as well, such as: “crew worked fast and cleaned up at the end of each day’”, “your driveway is by far one of the best of the newer ones recently”. We got three estimates, and while Coastal was not the lowest (they were very close), we decided to go with them because we were very comfortable with Nick. If you have a concrete job, I highly recommend Coastal Concrete.
