Had San Diego County Solar install a Tesla Powerwall 3 and a Wall Connector on an existing 2019 solar system. It's a big job with a lot of moving parts, and it went more smoothly than much smaller projects I've had done.
Seth knows this stuff very well and gives straight answers. I asked a lot of detailed questions about NEM 2.0, rate plans, and how the battery would actually behave, and I never got a sales pitch or a vague answer. When something wasn't knowable, he said so. That's rarer than it should be in this industry.
The crew did clean work and were very nice and easy to deal with. The conduit was painted to match the stucco, and they went ahead and painted an older cable run that wasn't part of their job. When I hit a Tesla app issue that had nothing to do with their installation, Tim, the installation manager, spent an hour on the phone with Tesla support on my behalf. He didn't have to do that.
Passed inspection first time, PTO came through shortly after, and they handled the SDCP rebate paperwork, with the check arriving faster than estimated.
If you're adding storage to an existing NEM 2.0 system, these are good people to work with.
