Dan was very professional, on time, knowledgeable, willing to take the time to investigate the problem, quick to repair, and to inform the client of all possibilities. We would definitely recommend Tytum HVAC and Dan!

Hi Kathryn, thank you for the 5-star review! We're glad Dan took the time to investigate the problem, repaired it quickly, and walked you through all your options. We'll pass your kind words on to him. Thank you for trusting Tytum HVAC with your HVAC repair in San Diego. We're always here if you need us again!

I asked if it was possible for a technician to come out and detect if there was a leak in my HVAC ductwork because air wasn’t flowing well to 2 rooms. They said, yes. Tech came out and said he couldn’t do it, put his hand up to the vents and said the air was flowing fine. The tech also made me uncomfortable. He spoke broken english, didn’t make good eye contact and didn’t communicate what he was doing. This is a 2 star review because the schedulers and office staff were professional and efficient. Otherwise it would be one star.

I’m sorry we let you down. You called us because two rooms were not getting enough airflow, and we should have done a better job investigating the issue and explaining what we found. You also should have felt comfortable and informed throughout the visit.

I’d really appreciate the opportunity to make this right. We will send a different, experienced technician at no charge to properly inspect the airflow and ductwork. If a repair is needed, we will cover up to $1,000 of the repair cost, with no obligation to purchase anything else from us.

Please call our office and mention this review so I can make sure this is handled personally. And thank you for your kind words about our office team.

Dan and the entire Tytum team have been fantastic. I recently had a brand new HVAC system installed in my new home, and overall my experience has been great. Before moving forward, I vetted three different HVAC companies, and Tytum stood out when it came to pricing, system design, and equipment.

We ran into a few minor hiccups along the way, but what really impressed me was how Dan and the team handled them. They’ve gone above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and that I was happy with the end result.

I really appreciate Dan and everyone at Tytum for all the work they’ve put into my home. If you’re looking for an HVAC company that genuinely prioritizes customer experience and stands behind their work, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Our AC unit stopped blowing cool air on Labor Day, and we were able to book an appointment online for the next day. Alex came out and replaced our bad capacitor in short order. Fast and friendly service!

First time using Tytum HVAC service replacing HVAC capacitor and upgrading old thermostat and they did an amazing job for me.

Spoke with Leslie regarding upstairs old non smart/non programmable home thermostat which I wanted upgraded and replaced and HVAC system was on roof of two story townhouse so they would need a really tall ladder for access to HVAC. She was very helpful addressing all my concerns , scheduling me a same day appointment within hours on Thursday 2-5pm since I had a prior appointment. Although I was an hour late and Alex arrived 15 minutes early with courtesy text followed by a phone all, Alex Babin was gracious and nice enough to still fit me in his busy Thursday schedule provided me with outstanding customer service when he noticed I had two defective new thermostats and a faulty HVAC capacitor. He advised me to purchase Ecobee Smart Thermostat and requested Lucy to add me to Monday 9/7/2026 schedule which she did amazingly gave me 1-4pm timeframe.

Today 11am I received a courtesy text estimated time of arrival, arrived promptly and earlier than expected to add “C” wire, replace & upgrade old thermostat.

On both appointments Alex went above and beyond our agreement providing me with honest, outstanding customer service all with a smile at very reasonable prices for much needed HVAC capacitor that was not working properly on Thursday and today replacing my old non programmable Honeywell thermostat and added a “C” wire today.

Alex was very professional and patient answering all my questions , all while he meticulously and safely worked with a smile even having to go so high to roof to complete “C” wire install on HVAC system to match the Ecobee thermostat installed where I requested. He made sure I had no other questions and was completely satisfied with everything.

I would definitely recommend of Tytum to others and use their services again. Thank you Alex for providing me with such a wonderful service experience with your company!!

Alex was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and took the time to explain what was going on with our HVAC system and what needed to be done. He worked efficiently, was respectful of our home, and made sure the mini-split was properly cold before leaving.

We really appreciated Alex's honesty, reliability, and attention to detail. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone needing HVAC service and wouldn't hesitate to call Tytum again!
