I hope you will take the time to read all the following...I've tried to keep it readable, but this is a different kind of review that unfolds over a two-month period.
It is important to state that my one-star rating does not reflect in any way the competence or expertise of this company's electricians; this is so because we never got to work with them.
The dismal rating comes from being treated with utter disrespect by an employee. He came to our condo in a high rise with the purpose of offering services related to acquiring and installing an EV charger for our parking space. And he arrived with ideas and a "turn-key" solution: he was going to get the necessary charger, present our HOA with plans for approval, and of course installation.
He also consulted with our SDGE rep and concluded that their solution was not workable. On April 4, we decided to go with HMT. On April 9, he suggested their solution. Then, this man experienced a true personal loss. We respected his loss and there was no contact until he indicated to us he would be ready April 22. By April 29,when there was still no contact, we graciously concluded he was not ready to work, and offered to end the project.
He replied he would be ready on May 2. We heard nothing by May 8, and asked if he was still "in." He said a quote for the installation would be sent by his boss on May 10.
Can you guess what happened on May 10? Right... no quote.
There was no contact from him through May 17, when we again inquired. We tried again on May 21.
Finally we belatedly got the message...this man was never going to contact us again.
HMT wasted nearly two months of our time.
Their decision to work on our project was a verbal promise, that was, in the end, left unfulfilled.
We have no problem with any company that, upon further inspection, decides for whatever reasons, that they cannot begin/continue a project...all we ask is to be kept in the loop.
In our opinion, one of the worst feelings in the world is to be simply ignored; it is more disrespectful than a "no thank you" or "we don't agree." It is a way of saying, without saying anything, that you and your business are meaningless.
That's precisely the message HMT sent to us.
We urge you to send them the same message--ignore them.

Will Bradler and his team at HMT arrived on time, did an excellent installation, were well organized, professional, knowledgeable, and returned telephone calls in a timely manner. Everyone we were in contact with at this company were polite, friendly, helpful, and made and kept appointments as promised.
We recommend this company highly!
Rude people, unprofessional staff, poor work ethic...
