Dunbar's Pool Service takes care of the pool within the neighborhood where I live. The service they provide is inconsistent and the pool is left dirty, even after an employee has been there. It has been observed on more than one occasion that an employee shows up to the property walks around and leaves again without actually providing any type of service. Our community members have reached out to communicate the disappointment and frustration regarding the status of the pool with no change in outcome. Our pool is full of debris, the hot tub is constantly murky and on the verge of turning green. When getting out of the pool your skin feels dirty. It is unfair for an entire community to go without the use of their pool due to the poor service. Please save yourself the hassle and choose some other pool service provider.

Good had working team they settle for nothing less than complete customer satisfaction!
I needed to empty my pool and thought it was going to be a long process. Two hours later, they were done and cleaning up. They kept in contact with me over the next few days as I painted my pool and when I was done and had refilled it they returned and did the chemical start up for me. They are always very professional.
That day the owner took the time to answer all of our questions regarding the filtration system. As to how it is set up and how it functions. He went over as a pool owner some laws I needed to be aware of. Also discussed the pool filter cover. Recent changes in the law and how that came to be. Very knowledgable. They will be my first call if and when any issues arise.🙂
These guys do next to nothing, and great at billing you for it.
Called for a quote, told them I just wanted them once a week, gave me a quote for 4-5 times a week for $135 upwards , then upped their price to $165 knowing I live in an affluent superb of S Diego. This happens far too often.
I said we didn't need them that often as noone uses the pool.
His reply, this being Charles, was "sorry you couldn't afford us".
Highly unprofessional and no wonder companies lose business when they talk to future clients like that.
Sarcasm not needed, blocked him.
I will retain the texts from him for future reference.
Charles replaced my 6mo old Jacuzzi Quad 80 filter (a PITA to clean, and couldn't back flush), with a Pentair 60 filter. He did a great job, and the new filter is much easier to clean. He's the go-to guy for me with any pool related problems. I trust him and recommend him highly.
Not recommended, the employee of this company who cleaned my pool was very careless and half assed in his work. They did not empty my baskets, they did not sweep the surface, they did not brush the sides of the pool or anything. I watch the kid run into my backyard, dump stuff in the pool and leave. If you want to pay a bunch of money for nothing, this is your guy. If you want your pool cleaned, go elsewhere.
