We highly recommend A&H Finest Custom Flooring. Alexis at the showroom was very helpful in our luxury vinyl plank flooring selection and prompt with estimates and contracts. The installers removed our old carpet and flooring and then did a wonderful job installing our new vinyl floors in kitchen, dining room, living room and hall. We love the floor makeover and the quality of the install.

I visited seven flooring stores in San Marcos. I talked to Alexis at A&H and he impressed me with his personality and story of how his father and he started this business. He said if I found a desired product at another store that he didn't have in his showroom to let him know. So I did and he got me a better price for it. Plus, A&H's installation cost was lower than the other stores.

Alexis visited my home to take measurements and discuss the project. Once the laminate flooring arrived, he got me on the calendar right away for the installation. His father Alonso and his brother showed up on time the day of the job. The floor is concrete so a moisture barrier (underlayment) was needed before installing the flooring. I saw the brand of barrier that Alonso used and looked it up. It is a top quality product---no cutting corners there.

Alonso, who has many years of experience installing floors, spent day one applying a leveling compound to ensure a level floor. Skip this step and you might have some problems down the road. On day two he installed the floor. I did my research and saw that he installed the planks in the proper staggered fashion. He also did a nice job arranging the varied planks with respect to aesthetics. He was responsive to all my questions and made no fuss when I took a moment to suggest placement of one or two planks to create the look I wanted. The floor in the adjoining room is lower by four inches. Alonso did a custom cut of a plank to make an excellent transition under the door and down the side to the lower floor. He also installed baseboards and door trim for me. The work was done efficiently and clean up was good. I couldn't be happier with the experience. What a fine family to support with my dollars. I'll post a photo once the rest of the work in this room is done and it's presentable.
