Do not waste your money on Bemus Landscaping. Every bad review you read about them on Yelp, Google, and Reddit is 100% accurate.

They do terrible work and have zero follow-through.

A few major issues:
No Cleanup: They don't properly rake or pick up plant trimmings. Half the time, they pile up debris or trash and completely forget to take it with them.

Wasted Money on Plants: They refuse to clear out dead plants, and worse, they'll put new plants in areas without proper irrigation, causing them to die immediately.

Zero Management: The manager never inspects the property or checks in on the workers to ensure quality. If you manage to get a hold of the manager, he likes to up with his promise but can’t do the job right.

Save yourself the headache and hire a company that actually takes pride in their work. I definitely do not recommend them.

Terrible job maintaining the shared spaces in our neighborhood.

They convinced our HOA to rip out all the grass along one road and replace it with water wise plants. They never took out the grass. They just turned off the water and let it dry up for a few weeks then dug holes for new plants amongst the dead grass and covered the rest with a thin layer of mulch and bark. Same irrigation as the before with the grass. No surprise, this has failed. Plants are dying in large patches where water doesn't reach. Weeds are rampant and grass has grown back through the thin mulch in many places. They rarely take any effort to remove or manage weeds or grass and the effort they do occasionally put in is minimal.

Terrible job all around. Do not hire them.

Our HOA used Bemus for 16 years and they were the absolute worst landscape company. They overcharged us for work that was done very poorly and in some cases charged us for work they did not even do. Our HOA spent thousands of dollars implementing their water saving recommendations, only to be hit with massive water bills because the water saving processes did not work.

Bemus has stepped it up in the Alassio and Santalana communities of Talega in San Clemente. They listened to feedback on the maintenance, brought in an army and seriously improved the landscaping throughout. The team lead by Adam and Miles took what was undesirable and set it on a path for continual improvement. They communicate well, make great suggestions for improvements that are cost and environmentally friendly and understand what homeowners are seeking to beautify the neighborhood while also increasing values.

This landscaper is hired by the HOA. They consistently start work using chainsaws, leaf blowers and lawnmowers before 7am. Last Christmas Eve they were using leaf blowers at 7am. They have no respect and are inconsiderate of the homeowners. And they don’t do a good job. They don’t properly prune the bushes. They just shape the bushes instead of properly prune them. If it was up to me, I would not hire Bemus landscaping and you shouldn’t either.
