Green Room Design-Build

I wanted to put in writing how much we have appreciated working with the Green Room Design Build Team. It all started with us securing a flyer from one of your very cool display signs. Getting a return call from Courtney, energy you could feel coming through the phone lines, and then meeting Jake (if you look up charisma in the dictionary I think there is a picture of Jake) for our first meeting at our home, made it clear we were on the right road for our remodel adventure. The manner you approached the bid process, using pictures you had taken and clearly showing you understood what we were trying to achieve, was unique in the process of talking with potential contractors. One of the most compelling features of our project is the tongue and groove ceiling with stunning beams. Lowering the ceiling to allow for HVAC vents was both a functional innovation you devised, but also brings an extra warmth to the room. This was a true example of Design Smart, Build Well. Thanks Josh for helping out with our project and dropping by to assist. We enjoyed meeting Matt too and appreciated his muscle to move the mantle into place. It is bittersweet to be ending the project as we won’t be seeing Landon. We will always remember the energy and care brought to the process by an amazing and dynamic team. The finished project is beyond our original dream and we will always be indebted to the Green Room Team for making this dream a reality and helping us come home to excellence.

GRDB developed a beautiful design to enlarge my 1930s home including adding a second story. Lot size, setback requirements, and preserving the vintage bathroom and wood floors were added challenges to the project, but GRDB gamely tackled them. Other vintage design features, like the tray ceilings and archway, were reconstructed and with added spanish revival flare the final design is a lovely mix of old charm and modern functionality.

Remodeling is always a stressful process, but GRDB made the process as easy as possible. I was a single person embarking on this effort and although that streamlined the decision making, there were so many decisions to make and along with managing finances, moving, and working full time, the reliability and organization of GRDB was invaluable. Jolene, GRBD’s interior designer, was phenomenal throughout the process, mapping out decision priorities, cutting decisions down into manageable amounts, helping me determine what I wanted while respecting my aesthetic, and keeping track of everything. In addition, my project manager, Matt, was extremely thorough, kept the project on track, communicated regularly, and was easily reached when I had questions. Progress was consistent throughout the project and it finished on time, though I was lucky and did not have any big surprises or weather delays. And while there was added cost it was mostly for elective design choices.

GRDB will not be the cheapest option, but the quality of their workmanship is very apparent. When work was not up to standard it was redone, no argument. Several times that was based on things that Matt noticed and I did not. And the rework was completed as soon as possible. I couldn’t be happier with the final product. I highly recommend considering Green Room for your renovation project.

An Absolute Dream Renovation!

Eric and I are beyond thrilled with the transformation of our kitchen and Kathie's suit! From start to finish, the remodel exceeded our expectations in every way possible. GRDB team listened to our vision and helped bring it to life with impeccable style and functionality.

The kitchen is now the heart of our home, with sleek countertops, and custom cabinetry that truly elevates the space. The gigantic island is perfect for both daily use and entertaining guests, which we do often. Every detail, from the lighting to the layout, was thoughtfully considered to enhance both the aesthetic and the workflow.

As for Kathie's suite, it's simply perfect for her. The space feels open, airy, and is equipped with everything she needs for independent living. It’s the ideal balance of comfort and practicality.

All the subcontractors were top-notch—professional, reliable, and friendly. They were always willing to answer our questions and made sure everything went smoothly. It truly feels like a custom-designed home that fits our needs perfectly.
