Rooter Hero Plumbing

Called Rooter Hero for a clogged drain in a restroom at my business. They arrived same day, which was great. They were not able to unclog the drain. The plumber told me he ran his snake several feet but was unable to unclog the drain.

He suggested hydro jetting and camera inspection the next day. The camera showed the blockage was less than two feet from the drain, so he didn't run the snake several feet as claimed.

I was then told that a fitting would need to be replaced, and to do that, they would need to tear out a section of the wall. Estimate for the work was over $2500. I asked if they were certain that this would fix the problem. I didn't want to pay for this work only to find out that it was something else or couldn't be fixed. I was assured this would resolve the issue, so I approved the work.

Well guess what? It didn't fix the issue because it wasn't the actual problem. Not only that, they caused more damage to the pipes, and they ended up not replacing the fitting they charged me. Now they tell me they have to jackhammer the floor and replace a length of pipe at cost of over $8000, and I would have to pay someone else to replace the tiles on the floor.

No way was I going to approve this without getting other estimates. I called four other companies for a quote for the same work they suggested, and all of them were considerable less that Rooter Hero. One company said they can probably fix the problem without tearing up the floor. Their quote if they did have replace the pipe was literally half of RH.

Fortunately, the other company was able to fix the issue without the destroying my floor, and they did it for the price I paid RH when they tore up my wall and damaged the pipes (new company fixed that too). I wish I would have called them in the first place. They will certainly be the ones I call in the future.

Rooter Hero might be okay for simple drain issues at your house, but I would not recommend them for anything more than that.

Outstanding! Had a middle of the night main line break which caused immediate street flooding. Melanie immediately coordinated as soon as I contacted her and Allan came out. Both Allan and Yoshi rebuilt the main pipe setup, installed a new regulator, and brought water back online. Thank you Rooter!

They tried to charge me $2000 for a drain! They said well it's an emergency so thats the price.

Anthony came out, fixed my drain, and told me what was causing my problem. Very nice kid and very professional. No mandatory visit fees or extra charges for the holiday weekend.

Wow what a swift and hard working staff on a Sunday. Helped me and my toilet unclogged within two hours
